In addition to Castle of Nightmare and Victorian Card which I didn’t post about, Baby the Stars Shine Bright has released two new prints for reservation – Flocky Chandelier and Bunny Milk and Snow Strawberry. (The last name made me giggle.)
I was just thinking that Baby’s looking for their special niche now and their designs are certainly evolving from as recent as a year back. Their latest prints and designs are now rather detailed (Merry Sweet Castle, Circus, Jewellery Bouquet, Lovely Sweet Room) as compared to their designs in 2008 (Princess Drop, Cherry Ribbon, Rose Chandelier).
Oh sure, they’ve done detailed prints back then too (Mary in the Sky with Candies, Antoinette Bouquet) but I think the recent prints (dare I say it?) seem to be taking a leaf from Angelic Pretty’s book. (I said it!)
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining, but I can’t help drawing similarities… you know? Yeah.

But back to the topic. Neither of the newest prints entice me much but I’m quite excited to see Castle of Nightmare in person, as well as the OTHER one everyone is looking forward to, Beardsley Rose Alice. By the way, the flock on the Chandelier print says “AP” which you and I both know stands for “Alice and the Pirates”, but also just happens to stand for another famous lolita brand…
We’ll see! It seems like Alice and the Pirates is coming up with all the excellent prints recently.
